The role
We are seeking an HGV Class 1 Driver to support retail store deliveries from the Tamworth area. This temporary, day-shift opportunity is suited to a reliable and safety-focused driver who takes pride in delivering a professional service.
Start times vary from 0400 am and the shifts are 10/12 hours long, store deliveries. You will be delivering and locking the stores after.
This will be cages.
Key responsibilities
- Complete scheduled retail store deliveries safely and on time
- Carry out required vehicle checks before and after each shift
- Load, secure and transport goods in line with relevant procedures
- Complete delivery paperwork and obtain proof of delivery where required
- Communicate professionally with store contacts and report any issues promptly
- Maintain high standards of road safety, vehicle care and customer service
Skills and qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence
- Experience carrying out retail store deliveries
- Good knowledge of UK roads and route planning
- Strong awareness of vehicle safety and load security
- Reliable, punctual and professional approach
- Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules
