The role
We are looking for a dependable 7.5 Tonne Driver to join the team on a permanent, day-shift basis. You will be responsible for completing deliveries safely and efficiently while providing a professional service.
Key responsibilities
- Driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle in line with road and company requirements
- Completing local and regional deliveries
- Loading, securing and unloading goods safely
- Carrying out handball duties when delivering goods
- Checking delivery paperwork and reporting any issues
- Maintaining a high standard of vehicle cleanliness and safety
- Working reliably to agreed schedules and delivery times
Skills and qualifications
- The appropriate driving entitlement for a 7.5-tonne vehicle
- Previous experience in a delivery or commercial driving role is desirable
- Comfortable carrying out regular handball duties
- Good knowledge of road safety and responsible driving practices
- Reliable, punctual and organised
- Professional manner when dealing with customers and colleagues
- Able to work independently and manage delivery schedules
