Key responsibilities
- Driving an HGV Class 2 vehicle safely and responsibly
- Completing deliveries and collections in line with daily schedules
- Carrying out vehicle checks before and after journeys
- Ensuring goods are loaded, secured and handled appropriately
- Completing delivery paperwork and maintaining accurate records
- Providing professional service at delivery and collection points
- Following all relevant road safety, transport and company procedures
Skills and qualifications
- Valid UK HGV Class 2 driving licence
- Current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
- Valid digital tachograph card
- Previous HGV Class 2 driving experience preferred
- Good knowledge of UK roads and safe driving practices
- Reliable, punctual and professional approach
- Ability to complete vehicle checks and delivery documentation
- Physically able to assist with loading and unloading where required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
