We are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers for trunking work based in Shepton Mallet. This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional transport operation offering consistent Monday-to-Friday work, competitive rates of pay, and a choice of day or night shifts. You'll be driving modern Class 1 vehicles on planned trunking routes, with no weekend working required.

Key Responsibilities
- Driving an HGV Class 1 vehicle on scheduled trunking routes
- Completing depot-to-depot deliveries and collections
- Carrying out vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and safety
- Securing curtain-sided loads where required
- Completing relevant paperwork and daily records
- Following Drivers' Hours, Working Time Directive, and tachograph regulations
- Keeping the assigned vehicle clean and reporting any defects promptly
Requirements
- Valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) driving licence
- Valid Driver CPC qualification
- Valid Digital Tachograph (Digi Tacho) card
- No more than 6 penalty points (no major endorsements)
- Previous experience driving curtain-sided vehicles is preferred
- Good time management and communication skills
- Reliable, professional, and safety-conscious attitude
