Key responsibilities
- Carry out practical metalworking and fabrication tasks
- Measure, cut, shape and prepare materials as required
- Use hand tools and workshop equipment safely and effectively
- Assemble components to the required specification
- Check finished work for quality and accuracy
- Follow instructions, maintain good housekeeping and work safely at all times
Skills and qualifications
- Practical metalworking or fabrication skills
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow drawings, instructions and safe working procedures
- Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn
- Relevant experience or qualifications in metalwork, fabrication or engineering would be beneficial
