Key responsibilities
- Operating a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Moving, storing and positioning stock within the warehouse
- Completing routine checks on the forklift and reporting any issues
- Checking goods and paperwork for accuracy
- Following site health and safety procedures
- Maintaining a clean, organised and secure working area
- Supporting the wider warehouse team as required
Skills and qualifications
- Current counterbalance forklift qualification
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
- Good understanding of safe forklift operation and manual handling
- Ability to follow instructions and complete paperwork accurately
- Reliable attendance and a responsible approach to work
- Ability to work independently during night shifts
- Good communication and teamwork skills
