Key responsibilities
- Driving an HGV Class 2 vehicle safely and responsibly
- Completing planned deliveries and collections
- Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any issues
- Ensuring goods are secure and handled carefully during transit
- Completing delivery notes, paperwork and relevant records
- Providing professional and courteous service at delivery locations
- Following road safety, transport and workplace procedures
Skills and qualifications
- A valid HGV Class 2 licence
- Required Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
- A current digital tachograph card
- Good knowledge of road safety and drivers’ hours requirements
- Safe, responsible and professional approach to driving
- Good communication and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and follow delivery instructions
- Previous HGV Class 2 driving experience is desirable
