Workchain are currently recruiting on behalf of our client in Rugby, for an experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver to join their growing team on a temp-to-perm basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and experienced driver who is looking for
consistent Monday-Friday work, sociable hours and the opportunity to secure a permanent position
, with an increase in pay once transferred across.

The Role
You will be responsible for delivering
palletised flat-packed furniture and white goods
to warehouses across the local and surrounding areas.

The role involves a mixture of driving and delivery work, with equipment provided to make the job as efficient as possible.

Your duties will include: Driving a
7.5 Tonne vehicle
safely and responsibly
Delivering palletised flat-packed furniture and white goods
Making deliveries to warehouses and commercial sites
Loading and unloading goods using a
tail lift and pump truck
Ensuring goods are handled safely and securely throughout the delivery process
Completing delivery paperwork and following instructions from the transport team
Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting any issues
Providing a professional and reliable service to customers
Some manual handling will be involved, so you must be comfortable with physical aspects of the role

genuine temp-to-perm opportunity
, meaning you will be moving onto a permanent contract following a successful period through the agency.

Once you transfer onto a permanent contract, your rate of pay will increase

What We're Looking For
We are looking for a confident and dependable 7.5 Tonne Driver who takes pride in their work and is comfortable working independently.

To be considered, you will need: Previous 7.5 Tonne driving experience
ESSENTIAL
A valid C1 licence
Experience carrying out deliveries
Confidence using a
tail lift and pump truck
Good knowledge of safe loading and unloading procedures
A professional and customer-focused attitude
Good timekeeping and reliability
The ability to carry out manual handling when required
The flexibility to complete deliveries safely and efficiently
The ability to successfully pass a DBS check prior to starting
