Key responsibilities
- Drive an HGV Class 2 vehicle safely and responsibly
- Operate HIAB equipment for loading and unloading deliveries
- Deliver building materials to customers and sites
- Complete vehicle checks and report any defects promptly
- Secure loads correctly and follow relevant transport and safety procedures
- Provide professional customer service at delivery locations
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately
- Work closely with the depot and delivery team to meet daily schedules
Skills and qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 2 driving entitlement
- HIAB experience and the relevant operating qualification
- Safe, responsible and professional approach to driving
- Good knowledge of vehicle and load safety
- Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual and physically capable of handling delivery-related tasks
