The role
A temporary HGV Class 2 Driver is required to support daytime delivery operations from the Pontyclun area. You will help ensure goods are delivered safely, efficiently and on time while representing the business professionally.
Key responsibilities
- Driving an HGV Class 2 vehicle safely and responsibly
- Completing local and regional deliveries as scheduled
- Loading, securing and unloading goods
- Carrying out handball duties at delivery locations
- Checking delivery paperwork and obtaining proof of delivery
- Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any issues
- Following road safety, site safety and company procedures
- Providing polite and professional customer service
Skills and qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 2 driving licence
- Driver CPC and digital tachograph card
- Previous commercial driving or delivery experience
- Experience with handball and manual handling
- Good knowledge of safe loading and unloading procedures
- Reliable, punctual and organised
- Professional manner and clear communication skills
- Able to work independently and manage delivery schedules
