This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident forklift driver looking for a long-term role with the guarantee of securing a permanent position.
You’ll be joining a fast-paced operation handling and distributing chemicals and specialist products for customers across a range of industries.
The role is varied, hands-on and ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy warehouse environment where no two days are quite the same.
About the Role
As a Counterbalance Forklift Driver, you’ll play an important part in keeping the warehouse running smoothly.
- Operating a Counterbalance Forklift throughout the warehouse and yard
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Moving and positioning chemical products safely and efficiently
- Putting stock away and preparing products for dispatch
- Supporting the wider warehouse team
- Working at pace to keep goods moving efficiently
- Following all site procedures and safety requirements

Because you’ll be working with chemical products, health and safety is absolutely key. We’re looking for someone who takes procedures seriously, has excellent attention to detail and understands the importance of working safely around potentially hazardous products. However, this is also a fast-paced operation, so you need to be a confident, capable forklift driver who can work efficiently and confidently while maintaining high safety standards.
What We're Looking For
- Nationally accredited Counterbalance Forklift Licence – essential
- Licence must have been issued within the last 3 years, OR you must have completed a recognised refresher within the last 3 years
- Previous Counterbalance experience
- Confident operating a forklift in a busy environment
- Strong awareness of health & safety
- Reliable, hardworking and punctual
- Able to follow procedures and instructions carefully
- Comfortable working around chemical products
