This is a temporary daytime opportunity, with the possibility of permanent employment for the right person. About the company This Stockton-on-Tees-based business operates in the wholesale sector, supplying goods through a local distribution operation. The role offers the opportunity to work within an established local workplace and contribute to the reliable movement of goods to customers. The role As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your main responsibilities will include: • Completing multi-drop deliveries, typically making more than 10 drops per shift • Driving safely and responsibly while following all relevant legal requirements • Carrying out vehicle checks before, during and after shifts • Loading, securing and unloading goods safely • Completing delivery paperwork and obtaining proof of delivery • Providing a professional and courteous service at each stop • Reporting any delivery, vehicle or operational issues promptly About you You should have: • A valid HGV Class 2 driving licence • Relevant multi-drop delivery experience, ideally completing over 10 drops • Good knowledge of safe driving and vehicle checks • The ability to work independently and manage a planned delivery schedule • Good communication and customer service skills • A reliable, punctual and flexible approach • The ability to meet the physical demands of loading and unloading deliveries Benefits • Minimum of 8 hours paid • Paid every Wednesday • Opportunity for permanent employment • Local work in Stockton-on-Tees Apply today.
