The role
We are seeking an experienced FLT Telescopic Driver to support day-to-day materials handling and site operations in Northampton. You will be responsible for operating a telescopic forklift safely and efficiently while helping to maintain smooth movement of materials across the working area.
Key responsibilities
- Operate a telescopic forklift in line with site procedures and health and safety requirements
- Load, unload and move materials safely and efficiently
- Place materials in designated areas and support general site organisation
- Complete routine equipment checks before use
- Follow instructions from supervisors and work effectively with colleagues
- Maintain a clean, safe and orderly working environment
- Report any equipment defects, hazards or operational issues promptly
Skills and qualifications
- Previous experience operating a telescopic forklift or telehandler
- Relevant, in-date forklift or telehandler certification
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety procedures
- Strong awareness of surroundings and safe lifting practices
- Reliable, punctual and able to work afternoon shifts
- Good communication skills and a responsible approach to work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
This is a temporary opportunity offering competitive hourly pay of £13.00 to £15.00, depending on relevant experience and suitability for the role.
