The company is looking for a reliable Car/Van Driver to support day-to-day transport and delivery activities in Newbridge. This temporary opportunity would suit someone who is organised, safety-conscious and comfortable working independently while providing a professional service.
Key responsibilities
- Drive a car or van safely and responsibly
- Complete deliveries and collections as scheduled
- Carry out basic vehicle checks before and after journeys
- Load and unload items safely
- Follow delivery instructions, road safety requirements and company procedures
- Complete any required paperwork or delivery records
- Communicate courteously with colleagues, customers and site contacts
- Report delays, vehicle issues or delivery problems promptly
Skills and qualifications
- A full, valid UK driving licence suitable for the vehicle
- Safe and confident driving ability
- Good knowledge of road safety and local routes
- Reliable timekeeping and a responsible attitude
- Good communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks
- Physically able to assist with loading and unloading
- Previous driving or delivery experience would be useful, but is not essential
