The role
As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your responsibilities will include:
- Driving an HGV Class 1 vehicle safely and responsibly
- Completing deliveries and collections as scheduled
- Carrying out appropriate vehicle checks before and after journeys
- Ensuring loads are secure and handled with care
- Completing delivery paperwork and other required records
- Communicating professionally with customers, site contacts and transport colleagues
- Following relevant road safety, legal and company procedures
Skills and qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 1 driving licence
- Safe and responsible driving approach
- Good understanding of vehicle safety checks and load security
- Reliable, punctial and professional attitude
- Ability to follow delivery instructions and complete paperwork accurately
- Good communication skills
- Relevant HGV driving experience is preferred
