The employer is recruiting for a driving role based near Magor, helping maintain dependable day-to-day transport activity.
Key responsibilities
- Drive HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and responsibly
- Complete delivery routes in line with schedules and instructions
- Carry out vehicle checks and report any defects or issues
- Load security and delivery preparation
- Use drawbar trailers where required
- Complete roping and sheeting to secure loads
- Maintain accurate delivery paperwork
- Represent the company professionally when dealing with customers and site contacts
- Follow all relevant road safety, transport and workplace procedures
Skills and qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 1 driving licence
- Experience with drawbar work
- Practical experience in roping and sheeting
- Good understanding of load security and safe driving practices
- Reliable, punctual and organised approach
- Professional communication skills
- Ability to work independently and follow delivery instructions
