About the role
The company is seeking an HGV Class 1 Driver to support its transport and warehouse operations in Ledbury. This temporary, days-based position is suited to a dependable driver with trunking experience who can work safely, professionally and efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Complete trunking work in line with planned schedules
- Carry out vehicle checks before and after each journey
- Ensure loads are secured safely and correctly
- Complete delivery and transport documentation accurately
- Follow road safety, site and company procedures
- Maintain professional standards when dealing with customers, colleagues and other road users
- Report any vehicle, load or delivery issues promptly
Skills and qualifications
- Current HGV Class 1 driving entitlement
- Previous trunking experience
- Good knowledge of road safety and drivers’ hours requirements
- Safe, responsible and reliable approach to driving
- Ability to complete paperwork and follow instructions
- Good communication and time-management skills
- Flexibility to work days and meet operational requirements
