Key responsibilities
- Operate an HGV safely and responsibly during night shifts
- Complete delivery and collection routes as directed
- Carry out routine vehicle safety checks before and after journeys
- Ensure goods are handled securely and delivered in good condition
- Complete delivery paperwork and other required documentation accurately
- Follow road transport, site and health and safety procedures
- Maintain professional communication with customers and colleagues
- Report any vehicle, delivery or route issues promptly
Skills and qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 1 entitlement
- CPC and required driver documentation
- Previous HGV driving experience preferred
- Good knowledge of road safety and transport regulations
- Reliable, punctual and able to work night shifts
- Strong awareness of vehicle checks and load security
- Professional attitude with good communication skills
- Able to work independently and manage time effectively
