The role
We are looking for a reliable Car/Van Driver to support the safe and efficient movement of goods. This temporary, daytime position would suit someone who is organised, dependable and confident driving a car or van.
Key responsibilities
- Drive company vehicles safely and responsibly
- Collect and deliver goods to agreed locations
- Load and unload items carefully, following safe manual-handling practices
- Check vehicle condition before use and report any issues promptly
- Complete delivery paperwork and obtain relevant signatures where required
- Plan journeys effectively and arrive on time
- Represent the business in a professional and courteous manner
- Keep vehicles clean, secure and ready for use
Skills and qualifications
- A full, valid UK driving licence
- Previous driving or delivery experience is useful but not essential
- Good knowledge of local roads and surrounding areas
- Safe, responsible and considerate driving habits
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Physically able to load and unload goods
- Reliable, punctual and willing to work as part of a team
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude
