Role Description
This role involves operating a forklift truck within an outdoor yard, moving pallets safely and efficiently while helping to keep the site organised.
Duties
- Loading and unloading vehicles.
- Moving sorted pallets to the correct storage areas around the yard.
- Ensuring pallets are stacked safely, securely and correctly before moving them.
- Straightening pallet stacks where necessary before lifting.
- Restacking any pallets that topple over during movement before continuing with other duties.
- Maintaining a safe and organised working environment.
- Following site health and safety procedures at all times.
What we're looking for
- A valid and suitable FLT qualification or licence.
- Experience operating a forklift truck, ideally in a yard or warehouse environment.
- A strong awareness of health and safety.
- The ability to stack and move pallets safely and accurately.
- A reliable, responsible attitude and good teamwork skills.
- The ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Candidates must be confident operating an FLT in a busy outdoor yard and be willing to carry out the practical duties associated with pallet handling and stacking.
