Key responsibilities
- Drive a car or van safely and responsibly on local and long-distance routes
- Deliver materials to customers and agreed locations
- Load, secure and unload items carefullyComplete basic delivery paperwork and obtain delivery confirmation
- Carry out routine vehicle checks and report any issues promptly
- Maintain a professional and helpful approach when dealing with customers
- Follow relevant road safety, company and delivery procedures
Skills and qualifications
- Full UK driving licence suitable for the vehicle being driven
- Demonstrable experience with long-distance driving
- Good knowledge of safe driving and vehicle checks
- Reliable, punctual and well organised
- Physically able to assist with loading and unloading
- Clear communication skills and a professional manner
- Able to work independently and manage delivery schedules
