Location: High Wycombe
Salary: £30,000 per year
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00–16:00; Saturday: Every other Saturday, 08:00–12:00

The Role
Workchain are currently recruiting for an experienced Yard Operative with a Counterbalance Forklift Licence to join a friendly and well-established team in High Wycombe. This is a varied and straightforward yard role working within a small team of around 5–6 people. The environment offers a steady and manageable pace of work, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a stable position without the pressure of constantly working to tight targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely
- Operating a Counterbalance Forklift
- Picking customer orders accurately
- Preparing materials for collection and delivery
- Assisting customers with queries and loading requirements
- Moving stock around the yard
- Checking goods and orders before dispatch
- Keeping the yard clean, tidy and organised
- Following company health and safety procedures
- Working closely with the rest of the yard team
Requirements
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence required
- Previous yard or warehouse experience
- Experience loading and unloading vehicles
- Comfortable working outdoors and carrying out physical duties
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Good attention to detail
- Able to work independently and as part of a small team
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
