Key responsibilities
- Drive HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and responsibly
- Complete deliveries and collections in line with schedules
- Load, secure and unload palletised goods using curtainsider equipment
- Carry out vehicle checks and report any defects or issues
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately
- Provide professional customer service at collection and delivery points
- Follow all relevant transport, safety and legal requirements
Skills and qualifications
- HGV Class 1 driving entitlement
- Experience driving curtainsider vehicles
- Good understanding of vehicle safety checks and load security
- Strong knowledge of road safety and drivers’ legal responsibilities
- Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious approach
- Professional communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules
