About the company
The company is an independent dairy business that processes, packs and delivers fresh milk, cream and complementary products to homes and businesses across England and Wales. It operates a network of depots, including a local Hereford site, and manages deliveries from collection and processing through to distribution.
Key responsibilities
- Drive a 7.5-tonne vehicle safely and responsibly
- Complete scheduled deliveries in and around Hereford
- Load and secure goods correctly using load straps
- Check vehicle condition and report any defects or issues
- Complete delivery paperwork and customer handovers accurately
- Follow relevant road safety, loading and company procedures
- Provide professional service at each delivery point
Skills and qualifications
- Appropriate licence to drive a 7.5-tonne vehicle
- Experience driving 7.5-tonne vehicles, ideally including European or multi-drop work
- Confident using load straps and securing loads safely
- Good knowledge of road safety and vehicle checks
- Reliable, punctual and well organised
- Able to work independently and manage delivery schedules
- Professional communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- Physically capable of handling loading and unloading duties
