Forklift Driver – Night Shift

Pay:£13.50 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

Job Description
We are currently recruiting for experienced Forklift Drivers to join a busy operation based in Haydock. This is an excellent opportunity for reliable, hardworking individuals looking for an immediate start, with the potential for a permanent position. Working within a fast-paced warehouse and loading environment, you will be responsible for unloading trailers containing heavy internal doors and reloading them onto alternative trailers ready for onward transport.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating a forklift safely and efficiently.
- Unloading trailers containing heavy internal doors.
- Loading doors onto alternative trailers as required.
- Carrying out manual handling and lifting duties where necessary.
- Ensuring goods are handled carefully to prevent damage.
- Following all health and safety procedures.
- Working efficiently as part of a team to meet daily operational targets.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, night shifts starting at 10:0 pm.40 hours per week in total. Friday is the busiest shift, with working hours potentially running from 10:00 pm until 10:00 am. Other shifts are approximately 7 hours, depending on operational requirements. Where a shift finishes early, you will still be paid for the full 7 hours, as advised.
Requirements
- Valid forklift licence and relevant operating experience.
- A reliable and punctual approach to work.
- Comfortable with manual handling and lifting heavy items.
- Ability to work night shifts in a busy warehouse environment.
- A strong focus on health and safety.
