The role
We are looking for a reliable Drivers Mate to support delivery operations in Grimsby. Working alongside the driver, you will help ensure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and on time.
Key responsibilities
- Assisting with loading and unloading goods
- Helping the driver with deliveries and collections
- Checking that items are handled carefully and securely
- Supporting the safe movement of goods at customer locations
- Following site, vehicle and health and safety procedures
- Keeping delivery areas and equipment tidy
- Providing polite and professional service when assisting with deliveries
Skills and qualifications
- A reliable and punctual approach to work
- Good physical fitness, as the role involves lifting and moving goods
- A helpful attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
- Previous experience in delivery, warehouse or transport work would be useful, but is not essential
- No specific formal qualification is required for this vacancy
