Key responsibilities
- Drive an assigned street-cleansing vehicle safely and responsibly
- Complete street-cleansing duties across allocated areas
- Help remove litter and maintain clean public spaces
- Carry out routine checks and report any vehicle or equipment issues
- Follow site instructions, health and safety procedures and agreed schedules
- Work professionally and courteously while operating in public areas
- Support colleagues with general cleansing duties when required
Skills and qualifications
- A valid driving licence suitable for the assigned vehicle
- Previous driving or outdoor operational experience is desirable
- A responsible and safety-conscious approach
- Good reliability, timekeeping and attendance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically able to undertake active outdoor work in varying weather
- Good awareness of surroundings and care when working near members of the public
- Willingness to follow instructions and complete required duties to a good standard
