The role An opportunity is available for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join a busy driving operation on a temporary, day-shift basis. You will be responsible for making deliveries safely and on time while providing a professional service. Key responsibilities
- Driving an HGV Class 2 vehicle in line with road safety and legal requirements
- Completing delivery routes across Leicester and surrounding areas
- Loading, securing and unloading goods safely
- Delivering products using a curtainside vehicle
- Carrying out handball deliveries, including moving goods at customer locations
- Completing delivery paperwork and vehicle checks
- Maintaining high standards of safety, care and professionalism Skills and qualifications
- A valid HGV Class 2 licence
- Driver CPC qualification and a digital tachograph card
- Previous HGV Class 2 driving experience
- Experience operating curtainside vehicles
- Comfortable carrying out handball deliveries
- Good knowledge of road safety and drivers' hours regulations
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
- Professional manner and good customer service skills
