Workchain is currently seeking a skilled Gas Engineer to join our client on a permanent basis. This role is covering one of the following areas: Derby, Leicester, Nottingham or Tamworth. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, fault finding and planned maintenance on various boiler systems, serving both domestic and commercial clients. This role is field based and a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting maintenance, fault finding and repairs on various pumps and boiler systems
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues
  • Advising customers and providing excellent levels of customer service
  • Keeping accurate records of work completed
  • Carrying out service and repair work on domestic heating systems, diagnosing and resolving technical issues quickly and effectively, ensuring all work complies with industry regulations and company standards, and maintaining strong customer relationships through professional service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience within a Gas Engineer role
  • Knowledge of technical equipment
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to provide excellent customer service at all times
  • Strong experience in domestic and commercial boiler repairs
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Essential qualifications are CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1
  • Candidates must hold a full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points

Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5.30pm, with overtime available during busy periods. 1 in 4 Saturdays is required on a rota system. The starting salary is £40,500 per annum, with excellent company benefits including a fully stocked company vehicle, overtime on the Saturday, company mobile and laptop.
