CNC Machinist
Location: Ely
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm (Shift will change to 5:00am – 1:30pm in the future)
Pay: £15.00 – £17.00 per hour (DOE)
Contract: Temp to Perm (via Workchain)
Workchain is recruiting an experienced CNC Machinist to join a busy production team in Ely. This is a temp to perm role with opportunities for long-term progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, set, and operate 3 & 5 axis CNC machines (Morbidelli / Alfa)
- Work to production specifications and complete paperwork accurately
- Carry out QC checks and prep materials before machining
- Maintain machine uptime, minimise set-up times, and keep work area safe and tidy
- Report delays or issues to Team Leader promptly
Skills & Experience
- 2–3 years’ CNC machine experience (timber preferred)
- Knowledge of Xilog Plus / X-Door advantageous
- Forklift licence (desirable)
- Strong attention to detail and efficiency
