Key responsibilities
- Driving an HGV Class 2 vehicle safely and responsibly
- Completing deliveries to the required schedule
- Loading and unloading goods using handball techniques
- Working with curtainsider vehicles and securing loads appropriately
- Carrying out routine vehicle and load checks
- Completing delivery paperwork and reporting any issues promptly
- Providing a professional and helpful service at delivery points
Skills and qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence
- Driver CPC and current tachograph card
- Previous commercial driving experience
- Experience with handball work
- Experience using curtainsider vehicles
- Good knowledge of road safety and vehicle checks
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
- Physically able to load and unload goods safely
