Key responsibilities
- Drive HGV Class 2 vehicles safely and responsibly
- Complete local and regional deliveries in line with schedules
- Carry out vehicle checks before and after each journey
- Load, secure and unload goods safely
- Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately
- Provide professional service at delivery locations
- Follow company, road safety and transport procedures
- Report any vehicle, delivery or documentation issues promptly
Skills and qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence
- Valid Driver CPC qualification
- Digital tachograph card
- Previous HGV Class 2 driving experience
- Good knowledge of road safety and drivers’ hours rules
- Strong time-management and organisational skills
- Reliable, punctual and professional approach
- Physically able to assist with loading and unloading where required
