About the company
This role is based within a wholesale working environment in the Cirencester area, serving the wider Gloucestershire region. The position offers an opportunity to support day-to-day delivery operations as part of a driving team, completing planned routes and providing a reliable service to customers.
The role
We are looking for a 7.5 Tonne Driver to carry out multidrop deliveries during daytime shifts. You will be responsible for completing delivery routes safely, professionally and on time while maintaining accurate paperwork and good communication throughout the day.
Key responsibilities
- Drive a 7.5-tonne vehicle on planned delivery routes
- Complete multidrop deliveries, handling more than 10 drops where required
- Load, secure and unload goods safely
- Check delivery documentation and obtain relevant confirmations
- Carry out basic vehicle checks before and after journeys
- Follow road safety, legal and workplace procedures
- Represent the business professionally when making deliveries
Skills and qualifications
- Experience carrying out multidrop deliveries, ideally involving more than 10 drops
- A valid driving entitlement for 7.5-tonne vehicles
- Good knowledge of road safety and safe vehicle operation
- Reliable, organised and punctual approach to work
- Ability to plan and manage a delivery route effectively
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Physically able to load and unload goods safely
