Key responsibilities
- Assist with the day-to-day operation of the recycling centre
- Help members of the public place materials into the correct recycling and waste containers
- Monitor containers and report when they require emptying or attention
- Keep working areas clean, tidy and free from hazards
- Follow site procedures, health and safety requirements and environmental standards
- Support the team with general duties as required
- Provide polite and helpful customer service
About you
- Reliable, punctual and willing to work outdoors in all conditions
- Physically fit and comfortable carrying out active duties
- Able to follow instructions and work safely
- Confident communicating with members of the public and colleagues
- A practical, positive approach to work
- Previous experience in recycling, waste management, industrial work or customer service would be useful, but is not essential
