A temporary opportunity is available for an experienced 7.5-tonne Driver in Wishaw. This role involves delivering plumbing and related parts to customers across planned local and regional routes.
About the company
The employer operates in the plumbing parts and wholesale sector, supplying products used in plumbing, heating and bathroom installations. Its distribution activity supports trade customers and includes delivery services using its own vehicle fleet. The role is based in Wishaw, Lanarkshire.
The role
As a 7.5 Tonne Driver, your responsibilities will include:
• Completing multi-drop deliveries, typically involving more than 10 drops per day
• Loading, securing and unloading goods safely
• Carrying out handball deliveries to customer premises
• Checking delivery paperwork and obtaining proof of delivery
• Planning and following allocated delivery routes
• Providing a professional and helpful service to customers
• Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any issues promptly

Skills and qualifications
• Valid licence and entitlement to drive a 7.5-tonne vehicle
• Previous experience in a 7.5-tonne driving role
• Experience with multi-drop deliveries
• Confident carrying out handball work
• Good knowledge of local and surrounding roads
• Reliable, punctual and customer-focused approach
• Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules
• Good communication skills
• A safe and responsible attitude to driving and vehicle care
