Key responsibilities
- Carry out trunking work safely and efficiently
- Complete vehicle checks before and after journeys
- Follow delivery schedules, route instructions and site procedures
- Secure loads appropriately and protect goods in transit
- Complete required driving, delivery and vehicle documentation
- Maintain high standards of safety and professionalism
- Report any vehicle, load or delivery issues promptly
Skills and qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence
- Driver CPC qualification
- Digital tachograph card
- Trunking experience or a strong understanding of trunking work
- Good knowledge of driving regulations and road safety
- Reliable, punctual and professional approach
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Good communication skills
