The role
An opportunity is available for a MIG Welder to join a permanent day-shift position in Bilston. You will carry out MIG welding tasks to support the production of welded components and help maintain consistent standards of workmanship.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out MIG welding in line with job requirements and instructions
- Prepare materials and welding equipment for each task
- Check finished welds for quality, accuracy and consistency
- Follow drawings, measurements and production instructions where provided
- Use workshop tools and equipment safely
- Maintain a tidy and organised work area
- Follow all relevant health and safety procedures
Skills and qualifications
- Practical MIG welding ability
- Good attention to detail and pride in the quality of work
- Ability to follow instructions and work to required specifications
- Safe and responsible approach to using workshop equipment
- Reliable attendance and a positive attitude
- Relevant welding or fabrication experience is desirable
- Any suitable welding, fabrication or engineering qualification would be an advantage
