The RoleWorkchain are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join a busy and well-established operation in Bedford. This is a varied warehouse role involving the handling of different products and materials, with responsibilities across picking, packing, loading and unloading. The position will involve some physical work, so candidates should be comfortable being on their feet and carrying out manual handling throughout the shift. This is a long-term opportunity for a reliable and hardworking candidate looking for consistent Monday-to-Friday work.
Key Responsibilities
- Picking products accurately from warehouse locations
- Packing goods ready for dispatch
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Moving stock around the warehouse
- Checking products and quantities against orders
- Preparing goods for delivery
- Handling a variety of different products
- Carrying out manual handling and some heavier lifting
- Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and organised
- Following health and safety procedures
- Working as part of a team to meet daily targets
Requirements
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential
- Picking and packing experience would be advantageous
- Comfortable with manual handling and physical work
- Good attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
- Available for the full Monday-Friday shift pattern
- Able to commit to long-term work
