Location: Newmarket, CB8

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (40 hours per week)

Contract: Temp to Perm

Pay: £14.20 per hour, increasing to £15.20 per hour after successfully completing your probation

We're currently recruiting for an experienced MIG Welder to join a well-established manufacturer in Newmarket. This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity offering stable hours, overtime, and the chance to secure a permanent position.

The Role

  • MIG welding and fabricating agricultural machinery components
  • Producing high-quality weld assemblies
  • Reading and working from engineering drawings
  • Operating workshop machinery safely and efficiently
  • Maintaining workshop tools and equipment
  • Keeping your work area clean, tidy, and safe
  • Following all company health and safety procedures
  • Working closely with the production team to meet deadlines
  • Supporting the team with overtime during busy periods

What We're Looking For

  • Previous MIG welding experience (essential)
  • Ability to MIG weld to a high standard
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Experience welding stainless steel
  • Good attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
  • A reliable, hardworking attitude with a strong focus on safety
