Workchain is proud to be recruiting for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a highly respected manufacturing business based in Doncaster. This is a permanent role offering fantastic earning potential and progression opportunities.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of a fast-paced production facility, handling breakdowns, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement across a range of electrical systems.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Ensuring strict adherence to Health & Safety regulations at all times
- Working closely with department managers and contractors to resolve issues efficiently
- Maintaining tools, equipment, and accurate service records
- Supporting the Shift Team Leader to ensure efficient operation of the factory
- Gaining full understanding of all site processes, including steam plant, odour control and effluent treatment systems
- Monitoring electrical equipment performance to maximise uptime
- Completing breakdown repairs safely and efficiently
- Assisting other shift members as required by leadership
- Carrying out site electrical installations and upgrade work
- Performing routine electrical and mechanical maintenance in line with planned schedules
- Participating in on-call duties as part of the shift rota
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong electrical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Proven background in a continuous process, manufacturing, or production environment
- Experience working on electrical maintenance, servicing and breakdowns
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve process issues
- Familiarity with factory maintenance practices
- Basic understanding of PLC logic and inverter drives
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- Experience with large-scale plant operations
- Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team
Qualifications:
- City & Guilds, NVQ, BTEC or equivalent in Electrical Maintenance.
