The Role
This role is all about shaping high‑impact partnerships with key client accounts. You will work closely with senior and executive stakeholders, uncover what truly drives their organisation, and position WorkBuzz as an essential strategic partner that helps them solve real business challenges. You will lead big, future‑focused conversations, turn platform insights into compelling executive stories, and open up new strategic opportunities that push both the client and our relationship forward. You will own net revenue retention and drive growth across your portfolio by spotting opportunities, expanding into new areas, and keeping relationships strong and healthy.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Relationship Leadership: Act as the senior strategic partner for key clients, building trusted, high‑impact relationships with executive and senior stakeholders to fuel long‑term partnership growth. Develop a deep understanding of each client’s priorities, workforce challenges and strategic ambitions to position WorkBuzz as an essential long‑term partner.
- Account Growth and Expansion: Own a portfolio of strategic accounts, with responsibility for net revenue retention, expansion revenue and long‑term growth. Identify and activate new opportunities through upsell, cross‑sell and expansion into additional business units, divisions or markets.
- Strategic Value and Executive Engagement: Lead Executive Business Reviews that focus on outcomes, insight and opportunity, not just operational reporting. Translate platform and engagement data into clear, strategic narratives that inform decision‑making and demonstrate measurable value.
- Client Advocacy and Market Influence: Drive client involvement in case studies, awards, testimonials and reference programmes to showcase success and boost brand credibility.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product, Marketing and Customer Success leaders to ensure real client insight shapes roadmap development, innovation and go‑to‑market strategy.
About You
- 5+ years of progressive client account management experience, with a strong track record of building senior stakeholder relationships and delivering meaningful account growth.
- Experience in HR or HR tech, giving you the insight and language to engage confidently with our core client base.
- Naturally credible and engaging, with a genuine enthusiasm for building strong networks and long‑term relationships.
- Commercially sharp, comfortable owning revenue targets and consistently focused on delivering against them.
- Strategic thinker who can connect customer needs to product capability and shape opportunities that deliver real value.
- Curious and innovative, willing to test ideas, iterate quickly and collaborate with others to create new approaches and playbooks.
- Confident leading high‑impact client meetings and business reviews, bringing presence, clarity and senior‑level gravitas.
- Highly organised, disciplined in using internal systems (CRM, CS platforms) and reliable in following internal processes.
- Comfortable and confident using AI tools to enhance productivity, insight generation and client engagement.
- Willing and able to travel for in‑person meetings, events and relationship‑building opportunities.
