A bit about the role: Reporting to the Head of Finance Business Systems, responsible for the ongoing development of principle Finance Systems applications across the Finance department and operating as part of the wider Financial Systems team, the SAP Finance Integration Architect will lead on the design and governance of end-to-end technical architecture for financial solutions (SAP ECC (on HANA), S/4HANA, FICO, Central Finance modules) and integrating SAP with non-SAP systems, banks, and tax engines. These solutions will align business processes like Procure to Pay (P2P), Record-to-Report (R2R), and Order-to-Cash (O2C) with the technical architecture, utilizing tools like SAP BTP, Signavio BPM, API, and CPI to ensure scalable, compliant, and high-performance financial systems. This role will bridge the gap between Finance business requirements and the detailed technical landscape, specifically focusing on how finance data flows between SAP and other Enterprise systems.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Translating business requirements into high-level solution design options, technical design blueprints, and risk and impact assessments.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders and representing Finance at necessary IT technical forums.
  • Developing and maintaining documentation and ensuring the delivery of robust, scalable financial applications.
  • Acting as a technical bridge between business objectives and IT execution, specializing in cloud-native architecture and specialist Finance applications.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting Finance in developing its modern technology from 2025, including an enhanced SAP Rise (HANA) instance, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Treasury Management System, and advanced analytics tools.
  • Leading and championing control in application and database architecture, data reconciliation, data modelling, reporting, and dashboards.
  • Providing support and guidance to Finance end users to utilise reports and analytics effectively.
  • Serving as Subject Matter Expert in modernizing legacy SAP landscapes and in the conversion to SAP Business Cloud.
  • Key support for the Head of Finance Business Systems and SAP Finance Systems Manager in the design, testing, and deployment of SAP workflows and integrations.
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline finance business processes.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining the end-to-end functional architecture for Finance Systems.
  • Creating and delivering comprehensive finance solution designs, architecture diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Ensuring technical solutions meet user needs and align with Allwyn's overall business strategy.
  • Guiding and supporting finance transformation projects, including system conversions and migrations.
  • Providing expert guidance on technology stack evolution and best architectural practices.
  • Overseeing development, testing, and deployment to ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards.

What experience we’re looking for:

  • CA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified is desirable but qualified by experience or alternative qualification considered.
  • TOGAF or equivalent certification.
  • Extensive experience in a financial environment and proven experience as a Solution Architect.
  • In-depth knowledge of Finance applications such as SAP, TMS, GEM Enterprise.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of solution delivery frameworks and methodologies e.g. Agile, Prince 2.

  • Effective support and delivery of Finance’s modern technology roadmap.
  • Production of clear, complete, and compliant end-to-end finance architecture designs.
  • Delivery of robust integrations across SAP and non-SAP systems.
  • Effective stewardship of data governance and compliance requirements.
  • On-time, on-budget technical delivery across SAP projects.
