The Future Fifty is the UK’s leading late-stage growth programme for tech companies, and has become almost a rite of passage for many of the nation’s most successful and innovative scaleups.

Operated by Tech Nation and powered by Founders Forum, the Future Fifty supports founders with international expansion efforts and connects their senior leadership teams to networks of peers and mentors.

To date it has supported over 30% of our nation’s unicorns and 40% of our decacorns, with our alumni collectively raising more than £77bn and counting.

Designed to be more experiential than academic, the Future Fifty is industry agnostic, by invitation only, and inducts 25 companies twice a year.

Programme highlights include a bespoke supper-club for the c-suite, founder missions to Dubai, Singapore, and New York, and the annual Future Fifty Forum.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a people focused, tech-curious Programme Lead who is looking to immerse themselves in the world of ambitious founders.

  • Programme Research, Ideation & Curation
  • Build and develop the strategy for the Future Fifty programme, ensuring it is truly valuable to the community and the tech ecosystem.
  • Stay informed and at the forefront of developments in tech - proactively identifying trends and iterating the programme accordingly.
  • Organise a series of growth platform-based events, experiences and introductions that appeal to the Future Fifty community and ensure the programme delivers long-term impact.
  • Adopt a data driven approach to optimise the programme and make decisions.
  • Programme Delivery
  • Ensures we deliver an exceptional, impact-driven, and scalable experience for all companies within our network.
  • Engages the ecosystem - speakers, funders, facilitators - on strategic programme opportunities, integrating their support and being front line
  • Leads on the design and collation of programme impact metrics and reporting frameworks
  • Leads and influences internal stakeholders and team to clear direction, milestones and intended outcomes, leading relevant team meetings.
  • Work collaboratively and closely with the partnerships team to identify commercial opportunities and deliver partnership impact.
  • Maintain strong communication with programme partners, keeping them informed on activity and supporting them in achieving their objectives
  • Lead on the design and delivery of the future fifty missions, securing speakers and facilitators to drive impact and high satisfaction feedback from the founders.
  • Lead on the delivery of bespoke scaleup activations that may be outside of the programme where audience may be overlapping.

This may include 121 introductions, roundtable discussions, events.

  • Considering wider team impact and synergies/ learnings/ ideas applicable to other programme areas.
  • Community Engagement
  • Scale the community by developing a pipeline of candidates for the Future Fifty programme through direct outreach, partner networks, and mobilising ancillary networks.
  • Maintain close relationships with Future Fifty companies through day-to-day community management and alignment of services to their needs and goals.
  • Build and develop the alumni engagement strategy.
  • Network continuously to source advisors, possible partners and experts who can enhance the Tech Nation offering.
  • Represent the brand at various speaking engagements

Requirements

  • We are interested in a variety of background for this role. Experience in events, communications, Startups, VC and operations is desirable
  • Able to work independently and proactively
  • Comfortable with public speaking
  • Right to work in the UK
  • 4 days a week in the office
  • This role will include events out of hours including dinners and breakfast.

This role may also include travel as part of international missions for the community, however, this is not guaranteed.
