Office location
Cambridge, UK – This is a hybrid role in which you’ll be required to work from our office in Cambridge 2 days per week.
Applicants should be based (or willing to relocate) within a comfortable commuting distance of our office to attend onsite as required.

As a Senior Finance Business Partner at Jagex, you’ll play a central role in shaping financial strategy, delivering insights, and influencing outcomes across the business.
Reporting into the wider finance leadership team, you’ll collaborate closely with key business units, including game teams and cross-functional partners, to embed financial discipline, optimise performance, and support investment decisions with clarity and precision.
This is a high-impact role where you'll produce accurate and insightful forecasts, reports, and models, while acting as a trusted advisor in a fast-paced, data-driven, and PE-backed environment.
What you’ll be doing
- Act as a trusted Finance partner to leaders across key business units to provide financial insight, embed cost discipline and challenge decision-making.
- Provide transparent and actionable budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Deliver accurate, insightful and timely financial reports. Drive the monthly Finance Reporting Pack (e. g. GM analysis, OPEX analysis, headcount analysis).
- Develop robust financial models and scenario analysis to support strategic decision making and optimise business performance.
- Work with gaming teams to understand the gaming roadmaps.
- Partner with and support key stakeholders to assess financial impacts of transformation projects to support long-term business strategy.
- Support business cases for investment decisions, including ROI analysis and scenario modelling.
- Enhance FP&A processes, leveraging automation and best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
What we’re looking for
- Demonstrable experience as a Finance Business Partner in addition to experience as a Finance Analyst or working within an FP&A function.
- Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative mindset and ability to influence at all levels.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel proficiency.
- Strong knowledge of reporting standards and management accounting techniques.
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders and driving commercial outcomes.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a hands-on approach.
- Confident in building and delivering detailed analysis, turning complex data into clear, business-ready recommendations.
- Experience in a PE-backed or technology-driven business is highly desirable.
