A Day In The Life
- Utilize intermediate Excel skills to efficiently analyze data, including vlookups, pivot tables, etc.
- Partner with product managers and salespeople to research customer and market dynamics.
- Utilize market and customer knowledge to recommend pricing levels.
- Engage in pricing discussions with people who have competing viewpoints, maintaining empathy, integrity, and professionalism.
- Create and maintain price quotes.
- Resolve pricing discrepancies quickly and accurately to ensure timely response for the customer.
- Handle quick-turn requests for minor quote modifications.
- Execute a quote comparison.
- Interpret and communicate information from ERP system and customer portal to customers.
- Maintain composure, empathy, and positive attitude in an extremely fast-paced team environment.
- Complete aggregate increase analysis.
- Drive quote renewal process to completion, on time, while maintaining positive internal relationships.
- Schedule and lead high-value quote calls with internal decision makers.
- Understand and appropriately apply metals clause.
- Utilize basic product knowledge to enhance decision making.
- Interpret customer spreadsheets and provide appropriate response.
- Collaborate with team members to balance out workload leading to a fast, high-quality response for the customer.
- Collaborate with order resolution, customer service, product management, and sales as needed in service of the customer.
- Follow all internal procedures and work instructions.
What will help you thrive in this role?
- Two or more years of pricing experience and/or experience in an equivalent analytical role.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, able to create formulas (v-lookups, etc.) and pivot tables.
- Ability to develop prices utilizing inputs from multiple functional areas within the business as well as multiple sources of data.
- Ability to work productively and with a sense of urgency to achieve objectives without constant supervision.
- Ability to meet or exceed deadlines.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency with SAP.
