Work with York Limited are looking to recruit a HGV Class 2 Driver (Waste & Recycling) for the local authority in York with an immediate start.
Skills required
- Current Category B Driving Licence
- Good customer service skills
- Able to work independently

- Driving 7.5 tonne vehicles
Job details
This is a full time role, 37 hours a week Monday to Friday from 7.00am – 3.00pm. It's a temporary role for a minimum of 3 months, potentially up to 6 months with a pay rate of £14.32 per hour.
Duties
The role is working individually, and as part of the wider team within our client's Waste Management Service Department, undertaking a range of duties, including
- driving a (3.5 tonne) vehicle
- delivering containers (bins and boxes)
- removal of bins
- minor repair of bins where required.
- managing the bin store, ensuring the working environment is kept clean and safe
- taking delivery of bins from our client’s external supplier.
- delivering trade bags to the city centre for our client’s commercial waste customers.
