Brief Description
We are looking for an experienced Early Years Professional to join a vibrant and friendly team in an outstanding nursery in Vauxhall to help oversee the day to day running of the setting as a Deputy Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the overall management and administration of the nursery.
  • Motivate and lead a team of nursery staff, ensuring high standards of care and education.
  • Cover nursery rooms as needed to maintain staff-to-child ratios.
  • Conduct regular supervisions and appraisals for staff, providing support and professional development opportunities.
  • Understand and manage the nursery budget effectively.
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with Ofsted inspections and regulations.
  • Implement and promote the Curiosity Approach in daily activities.
  • Build strong relationships with parents, staff, and the community.
  • Work collaboratively in a family-run nursery environment.
  • Manage the nursery with a capacity of 55 children and 18 staff members.

Requirements

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in childcare or early years education.
  • Up-to-date training in First Aid, Safeguarding Child Protection, and Food Hygiene.
  • Current and clean DBS check.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Deputy Manager in the same setting.
  • Proactive and able to inspire and motivate the team.
  • Outgoing personality with the ability to build strong relationships with parents and the team.
  • Understanding of the Curiosity Approach.
  • Willingness to grow and develop professionally, with aspirations of becoming a Nursery Manager.

Working Hours

  • 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Salary
