The predicted salary is between 14.4 - 17.6 £ per hour.

A temporary position with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right person. The company offers a good rate and provides a good work/home life balance. The role is very varied, offering a good mix of duties including:

  • Supervisory duties:
    • Supervision of the small warehouse team
    • Ensuring health and safety levels are maintained
    • Stock control using a computerised stock control system
    • Liaison with sales/production to ensure correct availability of products required
    • Work flow control and delegation of duties to subordinates
    • Ensuring staff availability, leave and sickness control
    • Monitoring staff productivity and efficiencies
    • Training staff as required
    • Assessing working procedures and systems, making changes where required to ensure optimum efficiencies
  • Warehouse Duties:
    • Receiving and checking in of goods
    • Picking and managing of orders
    • Packing of orders
    • Operating a forklift to move stock as required
    • Dispatch

This position will suit an experienced warehouse or stores supervisor/team leader who has worked in a small to medium sized warehouse and is used to supervising and working hands-on at the same time.

Requirements:

  • Previous stores/warehouse supervisory experience essential
  • Comfortable to supervise and work hands-on at the same time
  • Driver's license
  • Previous forklift experience
  • Computer literate, experienced with a computerised stock control system
  • A flexible worker, happy to put their hand to whatever is required
  • Well organised and able to manage multiple duties
  • A team player with leadership qualities
  • Responsible and reliable person with good attention to detail
