North of England/ Scotland £50k plus bonus

Are you an experienced Business Development Manager with a strong understanding of the franchising sector? We're looking for a commercially focused professional to support and grow our client’s franchise network across the North of England. Covering a territory from Sheffield to Scotland, you'll ideally be based in the Manchester or Liverpool area and be comfortable with regular travel, including occasional overnight stays.

The Role

As the key link between Franchise Business Owners and Head Office, you'll drive franchise performance, profitability, and operational excellence. Working closely with franchisees from onboarding through to ongoing development, you'll provide coaching, commercial guidance, and strategic support to help businesses achieve sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and develop Franchise Business Owners to maximise performance and profitability
  • Analyse business performance, KPIs, sales activity, and financial results
  • Develop business plans and drive growth initiatives
  • Identify and support underperforming franchisees through improvement plans
  • Coach and mentor franchisees, sharing best practice across the network
  • Support new franchise launches and onboarding activities
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards, systems, and operational processes
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, and Operations teams to deliver strategic objectives

About You

  • Proven experience in franchise business development, franchise operations, or multi-site business management
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with P&L experience
  • Excellent relationship-building, coaching, and influencing skills
  • Highly analytical with the ability to turn data into action
  • Comfortable working autonomously across a large geographic area
  • Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
