Management Accountant

Were looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our clients finance team. This role plays a key part in producing accurate and timely financial information, supporting the Financial Control Manager and wider business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the Trial Balance with supporting analysis and commentary.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and VAT returns.
- Post and reconcile intercompany balances and salary journals.
- Manage prepayments, accruals, and fixed asset registers.
- Support month-end, year-end, and audit processes.
- Run monthly stock reports and analyse stock usage.
- Produce bank reconciliations and explain key cash movements.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and ESG reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement in finance processes.
Skills & Experience
- Confident in independently preparing a full Trial Balance.
- Experience with ERP systems and journal postings.
- Strong understanding of VAT returns and intercompany accounting.
- Familiar with audit preparation and year-end processes.
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting or AAT qualified.
- Part-qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA (or equivalent)
